Akkineni Sreekar Prasad better known as Sreekar Prasad is an National Award winning Indian film editor.

He was born to editor A. Sanjivi. Veteran L. V. Prasad was his maternal uncle. He was a graduate in Literature and started his film editing career in Telugu films. [1] He has won the National Film Award for Best Editing seven times and 1 Special Jury Award, throughout a career spanning over two decades.[2]
His last win being for his work on the feature film Firaaq (2008), directed by Nandita Das. He has worked on Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Assamese, and English films. Some of the films Prasad has edited include Kannathil Muthamittal (2002), Alaipayuthey (2000), Vaanaprastham (1999), Aayitha Ezhuthu (2004) and Yuva (2004), Navarasa (2005). Prasad has also worked for the films Okkadu (2003), Athadu (2005), Khaleja (2010), Guru (2007), Billa (2007) and Sila Nerangalil (2008) as well. He also edited the Malayalam biopic film Pazhassi Raja (2009). [3]
